It happens!!

When Kierra dropped Mo off today I was texting Cali about her unruly child. She had been fussy for the past 1/2 hour and no matter what I did she wasn't happy. In our texts Cali asked if she needed a hug and I replied, "Maybe. I spanked her but that didn't seem to work." (People ~ it's a joke!!) But I was telling Kierra that Cali had to ask to make sure I didn't really spank her and we were laughing at that.
Then Kierra changed Mo's diaper - a stinky one - and then said, "Someone had a blow-out! Maybe that's why she was so fussy!!" Unfortunately she was not referring to the diaper she had just changed that was neatly rolled up into a tight ball. She was referring to this;
OK, so I don't have the nicest carpeting, but, no that's not an old stain on the carpet, or even a shadow around her leg....

...look at the size of that thing!!!

And this is her punishment. I bought this dress for her (before she was born and before we knew her personality) and now she has to wear it!! It's a cute dress, but it looks hideous on her! A spankin' would have been less cruel!!
(Again, people - a joke!!!)

Anyway, it happens!!!

(And Alex and Brendon thought it was wicked cool!!!)

Why am I so grouchy?

Is it because it's day 2 of THE diet? Or is it because we already spent an hour and a half at the doctor's office first thing this morning?

Or am I grouchy because I'm wearing this shirt? Then again, am I wearing this shirt because I'm grouchy?

Whatever. I'm still grouchy!! AND....

...the wind blew down some of my corn stalks! AHHHHH!

I was just wondering...?

Did you ever wonder who your kids would look like when they got older? Did you look at them as little ones and wonder - will they look like me or my spouse? Or will they look like another relative? Or will they just look like themselves?

I think that a lot with these 2 granddaughters. In fact, I think a lot about who Mac would have looked like, too! But this morning it was quite apparent who these 2 look like.

What do YOU think?

Check these out!

First of all, go to http://www.ksl.com/ and check out their High 5 segment from this morning. Penney is my good friend and biggest supporter and I'm so glad she finally got the High 5 she deserves everyday!! To add my two cents - Penney obviously is a good mom NOT because she has 3 children with special needs, but because she is raising 6 kids with fantastic manners and values, which in this day and age means a lot! Her and her husband (shout out to Ben!!) work hard and their kids are their biggest priority. Congratulations to the whole family, since I know you all work together and take care of each other!!

And then there's this....

I love my granddaughters!!

We have so much fun together!! How could you not have fun with these 2 curious monkeys?

TRaNsLAtiOn pLEAse!!

所有的資產,在不被諒解時,都成了負債...................................

With EVERY post I get a comment in Japanese or Chinese. I don't know how to read it ~ heck, I can't even tell you which language it is!! Anyone want to translate this for me?

And if you're the person commenting on this - STOP!! I'm not going to accept it into my comment section because I have no idea what you're saying!! And how the heck can you tell what I'm saying enough to comment on it, but you don't comment in English?

I'm so confused!!

PS If the translation isn't clean, please just tell me it's terrible. I don't want to know details!

An Al update, and it's official!

Alex is doing really well. Yesterday he was pretty grumpy, but I'm sure he's stiff and sore, so I would probably be grumpy, too! He moves real slow and careful, but for that I'm grateful. I have him use a walker as much as possible, and we go today to be measured for his splint which I'm sure will help give him support and confidence. I know I've said it before, but he is amazing!!

And as far as the official proclamation ~ which may be of no surprise to anyone ~ I am an old lady!

And it has nothing to do with me being 49 years old!! (And if you question my age, how dare you!) It has to do with this sign I put on my door....

Growing up, and growing older I swore only grouchy, old people put this kind of sign on the door, and I would never do such a thing. Well, maybe I'm old, maybe I'm grouchy, but I now have one on my door!
This summer has been brutal with all the salespeople! At least one a day, and when you are taking care of 2 babies and a child with many needs after surgery, I don't appreciate the doorbell ringing just so I can tell them I'm not interested in their books, their vacuums or even their cleaner!
And you wouldn't believe how many people STILL try their luck. Unfortunately for them, I have turned them into frogs!!
I DARE you salespeople! This old, grouchy lady will take it no more!!
