Colby and Kierra's new home!! (almost...)

Colby and Kierra are moving at the end of this month to a small, older home that is behind her grandma's house. They had their work cut out for them, but have spent every possible minute there working their butts off (seriously, have you seen Colby's butt lately?) Anyway, after cleaning, scraping, and painting they were finally able to put in a new kitchen floor. (If you look closely in the background you'll notice new tile in the bathroom just beyond the kitchen, too!) A lot of hard work, but it looks great! Way to go you two!!

MORE anniversary pics...

YES!! We got to swim with dolphins. A whole hour in the water with these beautiful creatures! So powerful, yet so gentle. They gave us a kiss, pushed us by our feet with their noses across the bay, and even jumped over the whole group. And that's just starters. We got to spend one on one time with them and pet them as they swam around us - like a puppy looking for attention!! We formed a small circle (there were only 6 of us in our group) and one of the dolphins swam around us going 25 MPH. They sang to us, they danced with us, splashed us with their tails and we will never, ever forget the feeling we had while in that bay. The trainers taught us so much about these animals, and even though Mike has always had a special love for dolphins, I think that love grew by leaps and bounds after this activity. Other than being able to spend all that time just with each other - this is definitely the highlight of our trip!!

25th Anniversary in Playa Del Carmen Mexico!!

Mike and I got to go to Playa Del Carmen (south of Cancun) for a whole week - just the 2 of us!! Thanks to our older kids who watched Alex, we didn't worry at all. Not even about catching swine flu!! How awful could it be to be quarantined in paradise??

This is our beautiful beach! I'm telling you - travel during a pandemic is the way to go!! We shared the beach with very few people, still got to do almost everything we wanted (all the mayan ruins were closed because of the flu), and even got upgraded from a 4 star hotel to a 5 star hotel because they had to close hotels due to too few guests. Darn it!!

Yes!! We went parasailing!! I picked these 2 pictures to show you because you'll notice we're holding hands - and it wasn't because I was scared! I really like this guy!! And the picture below shows when they slow down, they dip us in the ocean then pull us right back up. It was a blast!!

Our mexican 'son' Francisco! Such a sweet young man who was excited because he turns 25 in June which is when we officially celebrate our anniversary. He took great care of us and directed us to the perfect activities. Our only regret is we wish we would have taken a Book of Mormon to give to him. Do you think I could send the missionaries to 'Francisco in the travel shack across from our hotel' ???

No, this is not Mike after too many tequilas. But this little guy was cute!! He stole my camera, looked in the lens and snapped his own picture. Of course his owner then told me "$5 for picture of monkey!" So how can I resist when they're so blasted adorable?!?
Beautiful scenery everywhere we went....

These pics are all from XelHa (pronounced shel-ha). It's a beautiful preservation park that you can go snorkeling, wander around the forest, tube down a lazy river and eat to your heart's content. I haven't developed the underwater camera, yet, but we saw so many fish in so many colors, and even followed a stingray!!

These animals were all over our hotel grounds. They're the size of a small dog or large cat. They look like huge guinea pigs. I asked one of the hotel people what they were and he told me 'little animal.'' (Really???) Later on, at Xel-ha we saw a sign that said they were zerake (that's phonetic, not the real way to spell it- tsereque).
This little guy's wife should have taken better care of him!!! Yes, he was really that pink. This was our last full day there and Mike wanted to get a little more color. Do you think he got it?? He's ok, though. Lots of noxzema, and cold cloths while sitting under the fan, and he has his color, without the pain!!
I love you George!! Thanks for a great week and an incredible 25 years!!
